We claim married with 0 and have 2 kids, we have a house. He makes around 58 thousand a year, i make around 26, plus another part time job around 4 thousand. Around what would we expect to get back this year??

Hi,

Can't answer that without knowing how much was withheld from your checks for federal income tax.

In addition, if you are homeowners, then we would need the amount of mortgage interest/property taxes/state income taxes and a few other things to do this accurately.

If your children are 16 or less you will get a $1,000 credit for each one.
You should also get a making work pay creidt of $800.

If you use child care, you will get a percent of the first $3,000 you spend on each child for daycare.. unless you have a company plan that gives you cash for daycare.

It seems you need a professional to handle your return.
