My live in nanny recently moved. She did not earn an income for her services, we paid for her living expenses (shelter, food, etc...). Can I claim her expenses enven though she was not paid a salary?

I've already tried...

Sorry, no. You can reduce the wages you pay her by the amount of room and board you provide, but you cannot claim her living expenses as a child care deduction- only the wages you actually paid her would be deductible.
