I love being an accountant, believe it or not it has been my dream since I was 12:) I have over a decade of experience in public accounting and I am very qualified to handle even the largest and most complicated tax issues, but I also enjoy the small ones. I love helping small businesses with their accounting so they have the time to go do what they are best at...growing their business! I also teach accounting, entrepreneurial business, and finance at the college level, and I have 3 children. View Profile

Income minimums determine whether or not you have to file, there is no age maximum. These minimums vary based on your filing status (married, single, etc), your age, and what type of income you are receiving. You can find these limits for your situation at the IRS website (www.irs.gov) in the individuals section. The limits are also on the 1040 instructions. Even if you don't HAVE to file you may WANT to. Typically if you didn't make enough to require you to file you will get a tax refund and may be eligible for certain tax credits. I hope this helps, I would be happy to help you file your return. Hopefully we can get you a nice refund!
