Last year, just prior to april. me and my wife had a falling out, with her leaving and takina all out mail, including W-2s with her... we got back together and she told me she had filed an extention, which now that tax time comes again, that turns out to be untrue... last years taxes were never filed. Is there a cheap/free online filing solution to this problem so that I can file last years tax returns now?

I've already tried...

You will have to file a paper return for 2008. You cannot efile a prior year's return.

The cheapest way is to go to irs.gov and download the 2008 forms.

Fill them out and mail them.

If you had a refund coming you can still get that. If you owe, then there will be penalties for late filing as well as interest.
