If I received tuition remission from my employer which is a university and paid taxes on that, am I eligible for a lifetime learner credit?

If you actually were taxed on that money, then yes.
Often tho, the money is reimbursement and not taxed. You need to verify that you were taxed on this money.
If you don't use a tax pro, you might want to consider one this year.

OK good. My employer took 3 big amounts out of my check in 3 consecutive months as tax. Would my paystubs prove this?
