I have owned a home for longer than 5 years. I just bought a new home with the closing date of Nov 6,2009. Did I miss out on the $6500 credit by 1 day?

You did not miss out on the homebuyer's tax credit as this has been extended until May 1, 2010.

My father is in the process of getting his farm classified as a farm for tax purposes. Once this is done, can he go back and amend a former return to claim deductions and if so how many years can he go back and ammend?
