i filed my son and daughter in laws joint tax return. she gave me the informationto use. ss numbers etc. i efiled and had it deposited into my sons bank account.he worked and supported the home all year. she had no income .can i get in trouble for entering an electronic pin for her. does she have to have half the refund sc i have durable power of attorney for son.she kne w i was filingtaxes electronically for them because she wants money. WHAT SHOULD I DO. POA SAYS I CAN DO JOINT TAXES OR ANY OF MY SONS LEGAL BUSINESS

If you had both of their permission to file their joint return, it is perfectly fine for you to enter an electronic pin on their behalf. You state that your daughter in law gave you all of the information to file the taxes, so there would be nothing to get in trouble for.
