All tax experts on Teaspiller hold accreditations which may include either Certified Public Accountant (CPA), IRS Enrolled Agent (EA). We work to verify the identities of the tax experts listed on our site. This may include contracting third party services for background checks and using tax accreditation databases. Additionally we may monitor tax expert responses to ensure that they are qualified and complete.

Have a verified tax expert complete your tax return, all from the comfort of your couch.
Browse our profiles of verified tax experts and select the one most qualified to handle your tax situation. Proceed to enter in some basic tax information. Once submitted the expert you selected will prepare your return and send it back to you electronically. All you need to do after reviewing it is sign it, date it, and drop it in the mail!
Forget about hourly rates or ridiculous software packages. With the "Do My Taxes" feature, there's just one bottom line price to get your taxes done, and that's set by the expert you select. He or she may set their price based on a variety of factors like experience and scheduling.
You said that I have to fill in some of my tax information on the site. What if I really don't know much about deductions or other tax jargon?
To help make the process more soothing, we provide clarification on the more complicated questions wherever we can. If you are still unsure, there is the ability to leave a field blank. The tax expert will then follow up for more information if necessary.
You are able to chat with your expert via our click-to call-feature, or you can send the expert a message online.

How does it work?
Simply write a question about taxes in the box found under the "Ask A Question" tab. Then select or manually enter the price you are willing to pay to have it answered within an allotted time. We will then send your question to a tax expert in our database. If you prefer to select your own expert you may do so by clicking on the "Find an Expert" tab. Here you can message an expert or call them directly at a per minute rate set by him or her.
What's this going to cost me?
You can choose to ask your question for either $5 for a response in 3 business days or $10 for a response in 2 business days. You may also name your own price and time. Experts available for calls set their own per minute rate. This can be viewed on their listing under the "Find an Expert" tab.

Teaspiller makes the process of choosing an expert easier and more relevant than picking one out of the Yellow Pages. You can choose an expert based on several fields like their experience, certifications, and reviews. All of these are categorized in an easily digestible format for your convenience.
