After listening to countless customer frustrations with big branded tax preparation firms, we decided to build a marketplace to help customers find & connect with the best independent tax preparers across the country ... all online and from the comfort of their couch.
Our Brand
As protests go, we think it's pretty funny that a bunch of colonialists in 1773 decided to dress‐up as a bunch of Brits and Indians, board a bunch of docked ships … and then start throwing tea into a harbor.
We hope to bring the same maverick sensibility (and humor) to everything we do. Hence, we use an old historical reference used by the newspapers of that day for the Boston Tea Party protestors that spilled tea on that fateful night: Teaspiller.

We are the first tax preparation service to allow customers to: choose their own price for a tax preparer; call or email a tax preparer while completing taxes online; share reviews of tax preparers with other customers after completing a tax return; work with a network of independent tax experts online without ever walking into a tax preparer's office; and the first tax software to import financial data from popular online software sites like Freshbooks, Kashoo, LessAccounting and others.
